J. P. Roarke

J. P. Roarke lives in Palm Springs Southern California and for almost thirty years worked as a trial attorney, including a stint as chief trial counsel for one of the oldest law firms in the West. His career was cut short when he was diagnosed with cancer and he started writing while battling his illness. From the Village of Lucca, his first novel, was inspired by a story told to him by his wife about a small child who became friends with a disfigured classmate who had fallen into a literal Lord of the Flies nightmare. Now free of cancer, J.P. Roarke is currently working on two other novels.
