Originally published in 1964, Bruce McLaren’s autobiography From the Cockpit is a classic motor racing memoir. In his own words he describes how he overcame childhood illness to reach the top in his sport and establish a company in 1963. Tragically, at the age of 32, Bruce McLaren died in a testing accident although his legacy lives on in the McLaren F1 team and its roster of champion drivers including Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton.
