The Diary of Mary Watts 1887-1904

Mary Watts (1849-1938) was an artist, designer and co-founder of the Watts-Gallery Artists Village. Despite her own remarkable skills as a craftswoman, her work has been eclipsed by the achievements of her husband, the Victorian painter George Frederic Watts. Mary’s diary, which had never been published until now, has been meticulously transcribed by Desna Greenhow and it reveals a woman of formidable talent.
