Colleen Hoover was born in 1976 in Sulphur Springs Texas and is the author of romance fiction and fiction for young adults. Her debut novel Slammed was published in 2012 and was later followed by Hopeless which spent three weeks at the top of the New York Times best sellers list and is part of a 5 book series. Her novel It Ends With Us, which is based on her experience of growing up in a household with domestic violence, was published in 2016 and in 2022 was followed up by the long awaited sequel It Starts With Us. Hoover’s other works include Maybe Someday (a 3 book series) and Never, Never her literary collaboration with South African born novelist Tarryn Fisher.
