“An enjoyable book that combines the author’s love of cycling with practical advice.”

I WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE!

The road racing events at the 2012 London Olympic Games, put the English county of Surrey firmly on the cycling map. With more people embracing a sport that’s exhilarating and physically demanding, Mark Pittick’s book couldn’t have come along at a better time.

What makes this book so good is its tone of inclusiveness and the author has done a terrific job reaching out to both professional and amateur riders. There’s something for everybody in the 142 pages whether it’s what to look for when buying a bike; the correct nutritional intake for long rides; the impact of aerodynamics on speed, or how to avoid every cyclists’ nightmare: cramp!

Mark is boyishly enthusiastic about his subject and he has seamlessly combined years of knowledge, gleaned from riding Surrey’s muscle busting hills, into a readable and comprehensive work.
