The Nidderdale Murders (A Yorkshire Murder Mystery Book 5)

Retired judge Sandy Fraser is shot dead outside the Dog & Gun pub in the remote Yorkshire village of Niddersgill. It should be an open and shut case for DCI Jim Oldroyd as there was a witness to the murder. Unfortunately, the gunman is on the run and hasn’t left any traces. On the surface there appears to be no obvious motive for the crime but as Oldroyd and his team cast the net wider, they discover that Fraser had enough enemies who might have wished him harm. He had argued with farmers, debtors, hunt saboteurs, and even blackmailers although none of them were at the murder scene. But when a local shopkeeper is gunned down in a second senseless attack, it’s clear the murders are anything but random. Oldroyd faces a race against time to connect the crimes and find out who’s behind them.
