The Summer Pact

Four first year students, each with their own unique personalities, form a life changing friendship that kicks off when they meet at college. Californian party girl Lainey has a flair for drama, Tyson is a brilliant scholar and aspiring lawyer from Washington DC, Summer is an ambitious recruited athlete from the Midwest, while Hanna is a mild-mannered girl from the south. The girls are inseparable but their lives are changed by a desperate act – with tragic consequences – ahead of their graduation. Stunned and heartbroken, they make a promise to always be available to each other regardless of circumstances or distance. Ten years after making their pact, Hannah is anticipating what should be one of the happiest moments of her life…until everything is turned upside down! Calling on her friends for support, it becomes clear the group are facing a crossroads of their own. True to their promise, they agree to take time out from their struggles to embark on a shared journey of self-discovery, forgiveness, and acceptance.

“Grief, redemption, heartfelt meetings after years apart, this book has it all and so much more. Essentially, this is a story about friendship and though not exactly light-hearted, the narrative moves quickly while the story lingers in the mind long after the book has been read.”
