Summertime Punchline

There’s only one thing Delfina Silva-Miller wanted: to leave behind Evergreen and never look back. Despite the best efforts of her adoring grandmother, Del can’t bear to live with her deadbeat dad or temperamental crush Eddie Rodriguez. After years of hard work, she finally lands a coveted spot at a huge comedy festival. But when Del loses her job, boyfriend, and apartment in a handful of  hours, she’s forced to pack her bags and return to the home she swore she’d never see again when she was eighteen. Del is determined not to be distracted by her history. She has 45 days to perfect a new comedy set and march into her new life. Instead, she marches right into Eddie Rodriguez, but he’s nothing like the boy she left behind ten years ago.

“How cool is it that the female protagonist is a stand-up comedian! We need more of those. This book is so cozy, swoony and downright bittersweet, it’s one of the must-read romances of the season.”
