As a child South African born Hein Prinsloo Curson grew up living alongside an assortment of wild animals including zebras, cheetahs, and elephants. After leaving school, he worked in furniture retail although he never lost his passion, respect or care for the natural world. Weekends were spent trekking in the bush, camping outdoors and getting as close to the wildlife as possible. Hein shares his dream of protecting endangered species with his husband Richard Curson and together they have made it the basis for the internationally acclaimed Noah’s Ark Foundation.
