Peter Reese

Peter Reese’s reputation as a leading aviation historian was established with his best-selling book The Flying Cowboy a biography of the English airman Samuel Cody. Peter is also a well-known military historian with a strong interest in Scottish military history and he has written extensively on Anglo-Scottish conflicts, the English civil war and the pioneering days of manned flights. His other notable books include a biography of General George Monck, famous for his role in the restoration of the English monarchy in 1660, and his highly acclaimed history of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, Scotland’s greatest battlefield triumph.
