Britain’s Declining Secondary Railways Through the 1960s: The Blake Paterson Collection

These previously unpublished views by Blake Peterson, recapture the lost age of Britain’s branch lines and secondary railways, so many of which were axed on the recommendation of the 1963 Beeching Report. Paterson, a professional railwayman, was also an outstanding photographer who was determined to capture as much of the passing railway scene as possible. This book is a marvellous tribute to the lost splendours of Britain’s rail network.
