Broken Harbour

In Broken Harbour – a half built, half inhabited, and half abandoned ghost estate outside Dublin – the bodies of two children and their father are found dead. The mother is on her way to intensive care and Scorcher Kennedy, the Murder squad’s star detective, is put on the case. It looks straightforward – a murder/suicide gone wrong – but for Kennedy and his rookie partner Richie, there are too many inexplicable details while the evidence is pointing in two directions. Scorcher’s private life is also weighing on the investigation. Since the case appeared on the news his sister Dina has gone off the rails (again) and resurrected a question that Scorcher thought he had under control: what happened to their family, one summer at Broken Harbour, when Scorcher and Dina were children?
