Impact of Evidence: A Welsh Borders Mystery

Chief Inspector Julian Rivers and Inspector Lancing head for St. Brynney’s in the Welsh border country, to help solve a mysterious road accident. Initially nobody is surprised when old Doctor Robinson meets his end after his vehicle collides with a jeep on a hazardous junction. Locally he was known as a “menace on the road”, although when the police arrive on the scene their suspicions are quickly aroused. A man’s body is found in the back of Robinson’s car and nobody in the community recognises him! As local inspectors try to make sense of this strange crime, Rivers and Lancing are ordered by Scotland Yard to help the investigation. Danger and deceit await them as they enter a windswept land isolated by heavy snow and flooding from the thaw.
