Klara is an Artificial Friend presented for sale at the store. She spends her days watching the behaviour of both the shoppers and the people walking outside in the streets. Klara hopes that one day a customer will come into the store and choose her. When the possibility of a change in her circumstances finally arises, Klara is warned not to put too much faith in the promises of humans. So, she becomes torn between hope and reality.
