The Language of Flowers

The Victorians used flowers to express emotions: honeysuckle for devotion, azaleas for passion, and red roses for love. For Victoria, flowers and their wondrous meanings are her only connection to the world, although she’d rather express feelings such as grief, mistrust and loneliness. Spending her childhood in foster care, Victoria is now eighteen and has nowhere to go. She sleeps in a park, where she plants a garden of her own. When her talent is seen by a local florist, her gift blooms, as she is able to choose the perfect flower for a person. It takes a meeting with a mysterious vendor at the market to make her realize what’s been missing in her life. As she begins to fall for him, a dark secret from her past threatens to bring her under. She must decide whether she can risk everything to have a chance at happiness.
