Christopher and Hannah are a happily married surgeon and nurse – but one thing is missing from their picture-perfect lives: a child. When Janie, an abandoned six-year-old, shows up at their hospital and forms an immediate connection with Christopher, he convinces his wife they should take her home with them. It isn’t long before things take a sinister turn as Janie is a child with a deeply damaged psyche.
