This Thing Between Us

Vera and Thiago bought the Itza, a modern contraption that turned their house into a smart home, and then.. everything started going wrong. Cold spots, scratching on the house, strange packages arriving, eerie music at strange hours, and so on. It was funny until Vera was killed, and Thiago’s world turned upside down. Political agendas, texts from relatives, the sound of Itza talking to someone, it all goes over Thiago’s head. The only thing left for him is to leave Chicago, away from everyone and everything. A secluded cabin is the perfect solution. But as it turns out, there is no escape from the evil hunting him, and there is no escape from the grief plaguing his heart. Now Thiago has to fight his way back to life.

“A surreal exploration of the life of a man thrown in the throes of grief. There are satirical elements, horror elements, lyrical elements. There’s emotional and psychological impact. It’s no surprise this book took social media by storm. It truly deserves the hype.”
