Window Shopping

Manhattan’s shops are all ready and decorated for Christmas. I’m standing in front of Vivant department store, bemoaning the tragedy that is the holiday decoration. Aiden, a man with a twinkle in his eye, asks my opinion and I give him the truth. How was I supposed to know he owns the store? Now I’m working for him, trying to ignore how hot he is, because I have no other choice. I’ve been down on my luck and I have to make this work. I’ll put my heart and soul into decorating, and I’ll try to remember… I’m just window shopping, not looking for trouble in the heart department.
