Founded in 1969, Hurst is a UK based independently owned publisher that also publishes globally. Each year it publishes around 90 new books building on its core lists in African Studies, Islamic and Middle Eastern studies, South Asian studies, History, War, Conflict and International Relations. Celebrated authors include Sir David Ormand, Alpa Shah and economist Vicky Pryce.

Juliette Foster is a journalist and co-founder of Read2Write. She wrote and illustrated her first novel when she was nine and although she doesn’t remember much about the story, the improbability of the plot was enough to make anyone who read it burst out laughing.
