The Wheel Spins aka The Lady Vanishes

In 1938 British director Alfred Hitchcock adapted the Wheel Spin into the film The Lady Vanishes, which has retained its status as a cinematic classic. Iris Carr, the heroine of the story, is drawn into a deadly adventure at the end of her holiday in a remote part of Europe. Hit by sunstroke and facing the journey home alone, she boards the express train to Trieste and finds a travelling companion in the affable English governess Miss Froy. But Miss Froy disappears when Iris passes out and the other passengers deny ever having seen her. As the train speeds through Europe, Iris finds herself being dragged ever deeper into a strange and dangerous conspiracy. Can she save herself and discover what happened to Miss Froy?
